ABOUT US
Cahaya Society is an organization registered with the Registry of Societies of Malaysia as Pertubuhan Pendidikan Anak Cahaya Sabah. Established in January 2019 and focuses on the advocacy of alternative education for stateless children in Sandakan, Sabah.

Cahaya Society is committed to three core values which are advocacy, community and solidarity. The main advocacy is alternative education for stateless children, which has resulted in the development of community centres and activities, including a safe-space for stateless children, which has aided and reinforced Malaysians who believe that all children, regardless of citizenship status, economic class, or background, have the right to an education.
EDUCATION ADVOCACY
With a dedication to advocacy through alternative education, Cahaya Society established the Cahaya Learning Center (CLC) as its primary program, implementing discussing sessions as well as film, arts, philosophy, and book appreciation through its alternative education program.
COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT
Communities are not left behind as it is a part of the organization's core value. We believe that community has potential to be empowered through project management and implementation via collaborative partners which later could be impactful
SUSTAINABILITY
Cahaya Society puts emphasis in creating long-term advocacy and solidarity in areas of focus across all layers of society.

Menjadi organisasi yang lebih berkesan dan komprehensif dari segi menyokong pendidikan alternatif kepada kanak-kanak tanpa kerakyatan dan memperkasakan komuniti untuk perubahan sosial yang lebih berimpak.
Misi
Membangunkan potensi, identiti dan hak pendidikan kanak-kanak tanpa kerakyatan yang memihak kepada masyarakat yang diabaikan.
Objektif
1. Memupuk semangat setiakawan dan kebersamaan dalam masyarakat.
2. Mengurangkan kadar buta huruf dalam kalangan kanak-kanak tanpa kerakyatan.
3. Mewujudkan rangkaian dan kerja kolektif antara komuniti dan organisasi masyarakat sivil.
